When she isn’t writing, devouring a book or DIY-decorating her home, she feeds her entrepreneurial and curious spirit by mentoring and working with start-up companies – or hanging out and laughing with her two boys and husband.

Elisabeth (Lis) Thomas / Lis Thomas Content… is a kick-butt digital content strategist and owner of Lis Thomas Content. She works with businesses of all shapes and sizes to increase online brand awareness for their digital content assets, and specializes in developing lasting relationships with customers and clients online.

Joanne Sunnarborg has spent much of her life helping women define who they are by what they wear.  As the owner and proprietor of Desperado, one of Bend’s
best boutiques, Joanne blends her unique style and customer service into a fashion forward boutique shopping experience.  And watch for what’s to come! Joanne is expanding her fashion business with the opening of a shoe and accessory store next to Desperado in the Old Mill District this October.


 

 

Jamie Higley Christman

 

 

 

Jamie Christman is the executive director of Leadership Bend, the non-profit professional educational arm of the Bend Chamber and director of government affairs. She serves on the board of City Club of Central Oregon, becoming the organization’s first female president in 2014-15.  A former television producer and host, her long local history in media and public relations has
occasionally deemed her the tagline “a walking local Facebook” but she claims she’s better than Facebook because she’s always had an “Empathy” button and was born to “Like” people.

 

 


 

 

Jennifer

 

 

Jennifer Clifton is a corporate lawyer with the heart of an entrepreneur.  She has had a career working for national law firms and as in-house counsel for software development company and civil engineering firm.  She has started two businesses of her own, one of which attracted attention from Oprah Winfrey, USA Today, People Magazine and The New York Times.  Jennifer is married and has three children, and lives in Bend, Oregon.  She loves the outdoors and takes advantage of the outdoor playground that living in Bend offers, from snowboarding and skiing to golfing.

Deanna Paik says she is blessed to call Bend her home where she is raising two beautiful sons. She was born and raised in Canada and after 14 years in the

United States became a US citizen. As an entrepreneur, she owned Deschutes Gallery for seven years, which specialized in NW Coast Native Art. Following a short break she opened Roots Salon, favoring the name by her Canadian heritage. Deanna feels strongly in supporting and giving to back to our community and has served on the boards of the Bend Gallery Association, as an ambassador at St Charles Medical Center and a HOA community.

Christine M Schroeder-Fain has been in the financial services business since 1983 and is a vice president- wealth management, financial advisory at Morgan Stanley.  She moved to Central Oregon in 1979 and raised her two children as a single parent.  She met her husband, Jay Fain, in 1996 and they married in 1998.  Jay is her business partner at Morgan Stanley.

Chris focuses on high net worth families and women.  She enjoys helping them plan their financial lives and also prepare for the many changes that life brings.  Her early career was in the music industry with management company Day 5 Productions/Dawnbreaker Music in San Fernando, California.  Chris helped  start The Network of Entrepreneurial Women in Bend.

Jennifer Riker’s diverse experience as a marketer, writer, producer—spanning entertainment, technology and nonprofits, has offered exposure and opportunities
to work with the best-of-the-best. Currently juggling motherhood with her entrepreneurial venture as co-owner of the new women’s clothing store in Bend, Brave Collective, as well as developing strategic relationships for Red Jacket West keep her hopping.
